Hi Folks,

Well, what a carry on we've had the past week or so. Remember I told you that we were getting a cat?? Well, we live on a sheep farm and having a cat can raise a lot of issues regarding a disease called "Toxoplasmosis". You may already be aware how pregnant women are to steer clear of cat faeces, well, apparently it can also make sheep abort. So our poor cat who thought her life was about to improve and get cosier was swiftly taken off to the vets for some blood tests. 2 vets and Tony had to hold her down just to try and take her bloods but she was so fiesty that they had to knock her out,lol....and they had to do that twice as the first shot wasn't strong enough. Needless to say I am so pleased I stayed at home :-) The past week has also been very testing for our Jack Russell called Penny. Penny has turned into a jibbering wreck and runs away whenever the cat approaches her...this could be because the cat has been most vicious to her too. At the moment we are awaiting the cats blood test results, so she is on borrowed time now and may have to go if the farmer decrees it. But such is the way of the world,eh??

It's been another white week up here in the welsh hills....we've had snow now since the middle of November. Our son has missed a fair few days from work because of this so he is very lucky to have such understanding bosses. We can't wait to see some real grass and sunshine again...it's been too long gone me thinks :-(

Business is still going great...I've always said that as long as we can keep a roof over our head and food in our bellies then we don't need much else. I'm not out to conquer the world, just be a part of it :-)

Bought some more books the other day. I love to read, historical fact and fiction is my thing although I do love a bit of super sleuth too. Bernard Cornwells books are fantastic. I recently read one of his books for the first time called "Azincourt"...it was mind blowing. You really felt like you were taking part on the battlefield but there was a bit of gore so be ready for it.

I have decided to give you a list of books I've read and highly recommend so that maybe you can read them too and let me know what you thought of them. I will start with what I think are must reads.

The Emperor Series By Conn Iggulden as follows:-

The Gates of Rome
The Death of Kings
The Field of Swords
The Gods of War

The Emperor Series follows the life and times of Julius Caesar, they have lots of factual details in them mingled with a bit of fiction. They are an excellent read and once you start them then you don't want to put them down. They leave you wanting more and from what I've heard on the grapevine is that Conn Iggulden will be following them on at a later date with other Roman leaders of that era...can't wait.

I also read the Conqueror Series by Conn Iggulden as follows:-

Wolf of the Plains
Lords of the Bow
Bones of the Hills

The Conqueror Series follows the life and times of Genghis Khan and once again lists an awful lot of factual details smattered with a touch of fiction. Conn Iggulden is a fantastic writer and his stories grip your attention like no other author I have ever read, and believe me, I've read loads over the years. His writing is so exact you almost feel you can see the people he writes about in your minds eye and that your watching them from the sidelines...but maybe it's just my own attachment :-)

Like I said before though, I have only just discovered Bernard Cornwell but so far so good and I will keep you up to date with my progress :-)

Right, Tony has just cracked his whip and I must get back to work now,lol. I've only got 7 invoices to do so it wont take me too long...takes longer to do the filing :-( I really do not like filing :-( Oh well, gotta keep the wheels turning. Luckily it's Tonys turn to cook tonight...think he's doing a chinese (Chicken in Black Bean Sauce Stir Fry with either egg fried rice or noodles), he's a great cook too.

New Year, New Thoughts!! Congratulations Mrs Reid.

Hi Folks,

Well, here we all are again....can't believe we're already mid-way through February. What a busy start to the New Year it has been too...for everbody??

I am so pleased for Katie Price and Alex Reid....she's got a real, decent man there for her this time round. Alex Reid is a real gentleman, whats affectionately known as a "mans man". He has no issues with his sexuality, he knows who he is and what he likes and that it's his choice and nothing to do with anyone else but himself. Why do the general public feel they have the right to judge?? Both Alex and Katie make their own money, they don't live off state handouts, abuse their kids or commit any other offences against anybody. People who judge them need to focus more on their own lives, living in the public domain does not make them public attack material...thats just spiteful and unfair towards hard working people. Others have a choice to look or look away...not attack them. Personally, I love a man with a good sense of humour and Alex has certainly got that...something that a woman going through a divorce needs more than anything. I really do not understand why Katie Price...who was the dumped spouse...has been so viciously criticised. Divorces happen every day in every corner of the globe, many for a worse reason than hers. Just like people stay together for worse reasons too. I've known men who have split with their wives and taken the children with them and they had no idea how they were going to cope financially or with childcare. Yet a certain ex-hubby in this plot cries on TV about his love for his children yet left them behind and would not even talk with their mother. That person is not a decent man...towards women or children. His children are his bread and butter now. Everything he says or does is splattered with kids stuff and his ex-wife. Yet she is adult towards and about him...it's sad. Amazing how he had an interview arranged on the day his ex-wife remarried...that agent of his is a real piece of work, don't you think?? Cashing in on what was her wedding day, then the icing on the cake....lets talk kids and have tears!! That man chose to walk away from his wife and children, his pride was more important than they were, his love didn't run deep enough. He seems to talk obsessively about when he has sex next too. WHY??? And who cares!! He used to slate Katie for that kind of talk and yet he does it himself. He paints a squeaky clean image too yet a past girlfriend of his was the loudest and vulgarist one of the "SpiceGirls"....wonder if anyone remembers a documentary she did when married to her first husband. So don't know why he'd say Katie wasn't his type, other than to be spiteful. It's time he got over himself now and show his children how grown-ups can still be friends so that his children don't feel like pawns in a game. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about. Ex-husbands show a friendly side to others but their spite knows no bounds when aimed at an ex. I'd like to add a comment once made by Zsa Zsa Gabor which I totally agree whole-heartedly with, "A woman doesn't ever really know a man until she divorces him." I found that one out first-hand too...so spot on!! Not a pleasant experience, but I had 2 beautiful children from that mess so can't complain too much :-). Here's hoping Alex Reid is man enough not to run for the door when things get tough, as thats what Katie needs to see now and will probably push a few buttons in testing him too...it's a woman thing :-)

Big congratulations to Mr & Mrs Alex Reid....hope you both live happily ever after.

I think I better sign off now and get some jobs sorted. I've done all of my invoices so my hubby will be pleased but we may be getting a cat tonight so I had better make us kitty proof,lol. :-) Please excuse me if I've been a bit soap box-ish and gone on and on a bit...I can be a bit like that when I see some-one getting flack they don't deserve. We are all human and we all do things or have done things that maybe other people haven't or do not like, but surely thats our choice??

Hi Folks,

Just thought it was about time I popped in to wish u all a very Merry Christmas & a very Prosperous New Year.

Well, I am all set 4 the biggest day of the year although we are very happy 2 announce that we are currently snowed in. :-) How fab is that,lol???? Would be even better if I'd managed 2 get my last bits of fresh fruit n veg n my turkey,lol..... Tony n I are going 2 venture out tomorrow for that though in the 4 x 4....which is an absolute must living up here in the welsh hills.

My apologies 4 not writing anything on here since attending the Pain Clinic....I haven't been 2 well, what with 1 thing and another....n u wouldn't believe how busy we've been either. This summer we managed 2 get the outside of the bungalow completely painted though, so thats 1 major job sorted. Poor Tony has had 2 be super human since living here....a 5 bedroom bungalow with a huge garden takes some tending especially when working full-time n playing Cricket on Sundays for a huge chunk of the summer. We are both ready 4 a fantastic xmas break. Tony is taking 13 days off........

Business has had a fantastic year and we are very happy with how things are progressing....here's hoping 2010 is just as good if not better. We have lots of major projects in the pipeline so all is looking fabulous so far.

Here's wishing you all the very same in good luck n best wishes......

Just be careful out there n be respectful of others by not drinking n driving....u would not want 2 be the cause of anyone elses bad Christmas....either as an offender or victim.....

Hi All,

Well yesterday saw me start my Pain Management Course at the hospital...I am a sufferer of Chronic Pain and have been for a few years now...I have got Benign Hypermobility Syndrome...classed as benign due to the fact it doesn't affect my internal organs. Some days are good, some I can't even walk. It is very debilitating and distressing at times as I feel I am not old enough to have all these problems. The course is provided after doctor referral via the NHS and is run by a nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist and psychotherapist. The aim is to help you live with Chronic Pain and to manage it, without medication if possible. Chronic pain is when a doctor has done all he can and can offer nothing else. It is about learning new ways to deal with normal everyday tasks which become nigh on impossible for a Chronic Pain sufferer to do. Simple things like taking washing out of the washing machine or a joint of meat out of the oven are usually tasks I have to request help with. We all take our health and abilities for granted when we are younger, I was very active and sporty as a child and this is where the root of my Chronic Pain has stemmed from. My joints are all suffering due to being a normal active child....how many times do u hear dog breeders say not to over exercise a puppy or u will damage it's muscles?? Why is this not thought about for children too?? I didn't think I would enjoy the course or come away feeling like I had learnt anything new, as being a Chronic Pain sufferer you try everything and anything in your quest for a better quality of life, but it was really good to see how many others are in the same boat as yourself and they look normal too. The one thing that some-one said yesterday is how people make you feel like you're a fraud as you look fine to them. Thats the thing with pain...unless you tell people they cannot see pain. Pain is invisible to the naked eye, but is ever present. I have tried endless types of painkillers, really heavy duty ones 2, I keep a supply for emergencies but I mostly rely on a Tens machine now. This 2 was provided by the hospital and has been a godsend. They don't always work 4 everyone but I have been very lucky in that it eases some of my pains. The course points out the connection between Stress and Pain. The Psychotherapist view is that pain causes stress and vice versa thus becoming a vicious circle. Just like negative thoughts make you feel worse 2. Isn't it funny how your body controls u when being the person u feel u control ur body?? Or should be able to control your body. Many of us asked if it's because we are older now that we struggle more to cope with life, this was knocked on the head straight away. This leads to the conclusion about pain being the instigator of the stress...i.e, poor sleep....we all suffered sleep deprivation due to our Chronic Pain. With the Physiotherapist we are trying to build our core strength up a bit at a time to help us cope better with everyday life but the pain will always be there but hopefully we can all cope better and we've all made some new friends 2....it's good to have a decent support network behind u. I am going again tomorrow for another 3 hours and this is the pattern now for the next 4 weeks...2 days a week, 3 hours a day. So I'll keep u up to date with how it goes.

Well, what a hectic week....my own schedule has been busy,busy,busy....sorry I haven't kept up with my blogg.

It would appear that at this moment in time it is not good to be a celebrity. There have been quite a few deaths...totally unexpected people too. Poor Natasha Richardson just from a bump on the head, Jade Goody...shocking how her doctors didn't pick up on her Cancer yet she'd been going back n forth with problems for a few years. Heath Ledger, Farah Fawcett and now Michael Jackson. Look at the amount of celebrity divorces that have popped up 2. They are the people who supposedly have everything but mother nature always decides in the end, doesn't she??

I read today how Peter Andre is banning Katie Price from her daughters birthday party that he is holding at his new house...is that man a real moron?? Is he not aware that ex's usually do throw separate little celebrations for their children when the parents are no longer together?? Can he not understand why Katie held a party earlier and didn't include him?? Has he forgotten so quickly how he didn't even take her calls or want 2 speak 2 her or see her?? So why on earth should he feel put out?? I can't get my head round the mentality of that man...well, I don't even think he is a man, personally. I think of how his major gripe with Katie was lack of sex...does he not know that that is what antidepressants do, they kill the libido...I've taken them myself, so I know what I'm talking about :-) If his wife was fragile, why wasn't he working to support her and his children?? Why was she thrust out to work, even when she was pregnant and in a delicate state?? It's because he is a layabout...he wouldn't even run to chase after his son who took off through a carpark in one of their series. He wanted sex so much cos he wasn't working so therefore had loads of energy...it's said that they went to therapy, well, their therapist was rubbish if she couldn't convey all of what I have noticed...little old me who just reads what Katie herself has written. For all Katies sniping at Peter, u could see there was no malice in her, but he was pure evil 2 her in the current series being aired at the moment. She even said her barriers were up...so why did he have to be nastier?? Why couldn't he show love and understanding?? He is shallow and she is better off without him, at least until he grows up and realises that it takes 2 to make it work. It seems to me that he was competing for the female role in that relationship...he needs to develope his manly side a bit more. I for one do not go in for these men who are in touch with their feminine side...a real woman wants a real man...

Wondering if anyone else is ever gonna visit my blog,lol...will keep my fingers crossed,lol.

Well, the Andre saga continues...lets make Peter the saint shine some more and make Katie look even worse is the theme that seems to be going on everywhere. Where is it written that a young woman, who is without her children, can't go out and have some fun?? It would appear that the world is judging her behaviour but I wonder if it's Peters management team following her to get these damaging snaps...Ummm, wouldn't put it past them! Maybe she should calm down a bit, alcohol doesn't solve anything,Katie...alcohol is a downer...a short term pick-up that leaves u feeling 10 times worse when u r sober. I feel for u, I really do. I am just like u in many ways...I can c totally how your harsh ways were your way of testing Peters love for you...you were trying to see if he would still stay in the roughest times. The very fact he left just proves he was not strong enough for you. It is because of your past hurts that you test the love of those around you, loyalty is a very big thing too. The very fact that Peter has said in the press how he intends to contact Kerry Katona must be absolutely soul destroying for you...my ex became best friends with my estranged family...at whose hands I'd suffered mental, physical & sexual abuse when younger...They know the pain it will cause, therefore they become friends. Keep your chin up though,Katie. Everyone will see the truth soon enough...but it doesn't matter anyway, as long as you know the truth...well, thats always been my motto...then it's no-one elses concern... Keep smiling,lovely xx

Another day, another saga....aint life grand,lol... ;-P

Well, another update on the Jordan and Peter story for you. After watching their programme last night it showed Katie having problems with her tooth....didn't I say about all the pain she has been through the past couple of years?? Well, don't know about you, but I am like a bear with a sore head when in pain and also feel quite capable of causing grievous bodily harm to anyone who dares to say boo to me,lol. Would you want to be cuddly or groped at if you're in agony...I wouldn't...and I would slap anyone who tried,lol...so Peter has done well to still be standing if you ask me,lol. It was nice to see Kate going out with her family last night...I do feel for her on how everyone is trying to make her feel guilty for being young and still wanting some fun...it's not her fault she married an old woman...don't want to cause offence, but Greeks are well known for their chauvinism...unlike the real ancient Greeks,lol...now wouldn't mind one of those,lol. He seemed happy enough on his trip to China...wonder how he will fit in his visits from the kids...bet he'll start dropping them soon too. I mean, Please, look at how he uses his so-called feelings about Harvey to promote his album...saying he wrote the song about that little boy. How often do you see him really do anything for Harvey?? Kate is the one who gives Harvey genuine, loving, interaction. Peter looks like it's all for the cameras. Well, keep your chin up Kate...better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. And you haven't lost anything as you are worth so much better than he was giving you.

The Jordan & Peter Andre Saga

Hi All,
Welcome to my very first attempt at being a blogger...please bear with me n cut me some slack as I try to find my feet,lol.. :-)

Well, what do you all reckon to the Jordan and Peter saga then?? What a carry and what a sad situation when there is a man who obviously loves his wife but can't take a bit of Jip,lol. It is so obvious that there is love in that relationship but who said love was all Mills n Boon??

I've read her books n I reckon that if anyone is to blame for that marriage breaking down it is that agent of theirs. Poor Jordan is the meal ticket for them all...thats why her career has been going full pelt while "has been" Andre has done next to nothing. Jordan is open n honest, what u see is what you get...and I agree with her totally when she says he plays up to the camera. He is a drip...sorry, Jordan...I know you love him, but I would've kicked his A**e too. I saw you struggle with all your packing and the kids as he tried to go off to meet his mates. Whats more, it's pretty obvious it's him thats got the biggest jealousy problems...for gods sake, all the men you have snogged are gay men....unless he's jealous because he wanted to snog them himself,lol.. Personally, I do not rate a man who runs at the first hurdle...hasn't he heard of counselling. A real man, who loves his wife and kids would've given it a huge go. Also though...is it any wonder you went off sex with him after all the pain you've been through with different ops...and child bearing... I feel for Jordan more than Peter Andre...he's selfish....
